She's back in Coconut Grove with her vintage style

The Mad Hatter Festival is November 21 and 22 at The Barnacle. We'll be profiling some of the artists who are participating this year.

Alison Houtte is an ex-model straight out of the 1980s. She is from Coconut Grove, but has been in New York City for 20 years running a vintage boutique. She moved back here four months ago.

Alison's grandmother is a Grovite.

This is her first time at the Mad Hatter; she loves the setting of the event at The Barnacle. Her business is called Hooti Couture, she'll be bringing a big part of that to the Mad Hatter, featuring jewelry to vintage furniture, including clothing,  handbags, hats, books and more. Her prices start at just $5.00 so worth a look!

Alison is incredible! I had the good fortune to work with her last week for our Woman's Cancer Assn. of U.M fashion show. She has a great sense of style and an amazing feeling of community commraderie Make sure you drop by and meet the newest asset to the Grove on Saturday.
