She likes Javier for District 2 Commissioner

In the weeks leading up to the November 3 District 2 election I’ve been asked whom I support, why I support him, how I came to support him and what it would take to change my support - more than a few separate times. I’m proud to say that I support Javier “Jav” Gonzalez for the City of Miami District 2 Commission seat.

Why Jav? Is it because he's in the race for all the right reasons? Is it because he's in to give back to the community that has given so much to him? Is it because he's honest and earnest? Is it because he already has positive relationships with city, county, and state officials? Or is it because he certainly is the most knowledgeable of all the candidates on the issues facing District 2 and Miami? - All of the above, and more.

He’s extremely intelligent, with a great sense of humor, something I regretfully cannot say about the other candidates in the race.

He is the change that Miami needs.

I saw Jav at Early Voting and he was looking really dejected, but its probably nerves.

Campaigning takes a lot out of people. I hope he takes a long vacation after this and then returns refreshed ready to do the work he started on the village council.

Javi is a nice pleasant guy

Javier is far from comatose. And why not a commissioner? He's a lot more than a pleasant guy.

Please Kathleen,
If I have to see Javi in his baggy shorts slumped semi-conscious in another forum I'll scream.
Hey! Kid! Sit up straight. Act as though you CARE. You look like an insolent 9 year old who's being punished and just want to go play video games. Come back who you're a grownup...

"Low energy", "9 year old", "doesn't care". Is this for real?

Have any of these haters even bothered to look at what Javier has ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHED? Or what he CONTINUES TO ACCOMPLISH for the Grove?

He is easily the most qualified candidate. Check the records. It's not even close.

It's like these people want another mascot for city commissioner, rather than a proven elected official that actually gets things done - and gets them done the right way.

Christian,
No one begrudges your championship of your client, but it's not very credible.
It's your JOB to do that because he's your client!
And no one hates Javi.
He's a great guy, just like many hundreds of other "great guys" who have no business serving on the City Commission.
And what is it he's accomplished?

At best, Javier will come in 4th, and he could come in 5th or 6th. That doesn't make him a bad guy, but that's just the reality for someone who basically self-funded his campaign, and failed to realize that showing up in flip-flops and shorts and repeatedly telling everyone at the debates that he wore a Rolex, and drove a Maserati wasn't the best way to create a bond with the folks who vote he needed.
