'Moving Day Miami' featured at Rotary luncheon
David Lawrence, Jr., President of the Early Childhood Initiative Foundation, was the guest speaker on October 8, at the Rotary Club of Coconut Grove’s weekly luncheon, the club has a weekly luncheon at 12:30 pm every Thursday at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club, cost is $20, everyone is welcome.
Mr. Lawrence spoke about the many challenges, as well as opportunities, in the education of our children.
In attendance was Miami-Dade County Commissioner Xavier Suarez. Commissioner Suarez won $349 in the Club’s 50/50 raffle and promptly donated the money to the National Parkinson Foundation’s Moving Day® Miami. Dreema Stokes was in attendance to spread the word about Moving Day® Miami which will be taking place Sunday, November 15, 2015. More information is available at MovingDayMiami.com.
