Grovetoberfest draws thousands to beer festival

Every year, we have our own Oktoberfest right here in Coconut Grove when Peacock Park is full of craft beer lovers at Grovetoberfest, which is a perfect event to usher in the fall season. If you missed Saturday's Grovetoberfest, you're in luck, Sunday is the Coconut Grove Seafood Festival; same place, same time.

The Seafood Festival starts at 11 am and runs through 7 pm, like Saturday's beer fest.

The VIP's got in early, only 500 tickets were sold for that, then at 3 pm, the main gates opened and here are the first few entering.

People were excited. People like beer.

Despite the overcast skies and muddy terrain, thousands came out to the yearly event.

All kinds of craft beer was available for samples all day; along with purchase.

Anonymous said...: Sorry: I went to the festival 1 year and it sucked. Ran out of beer early and poorly run. Just a drunk fest for college kids. I guess that's what sells.; October 19, 2015 10:44 AM
