I recently ran a 10 With Tom article with Bobby, people got a kick out of it, here it is again.

"My fondest memory of the Grove when I arrived was that the sky was not blocked by any condominiums."
Indeed. Not to mention the water.
If you look vertical the sky isn't blocked by anything. If you simply look, lazily to the front, right or left, well, you will see what you would probably see from your front porch, lawn or any forest, so I suggest you look upward to the sky, if you want to see the sky.
Bobby is a free soul, cool dude, a sailor too, so ask him at the Sailors party:
How do you like that Big 3 Million Dollar Concrete monstrosity they just built by the water?
How many people will even use it, occasionally, per year?
Now how about using those 3 million in any or all of these 3 projects:
1/ Restore and reopen the infamous, History Coconut Grove Theater.
2/ A decent new bathroom for Kennedy Park (instead of trailer-trash roller)
3/ A Free Coconut Grove Trolley people have been asking for decades.
I bet we could have accomplished all 3 popular Grove projects with those 3 Million.
How many people go to the Kennedy Park, how many would go to our proud Theater and love the Arts there, or would use the Trolley for daily activities and Tourism?
I bet more people in ONE DAY would use those 3 things, than the few, occasional boat owners who will use that Concrete Building by the water ALL YEAR long.
Enjoy the party.
anon@ 9.52. Thanks for the revealing insights and information on how to view the sky. You might want to pass the epiphany along, especially to Bobby. As a true Grovite, local sailor, artist and musician, he has no idea..
Anon 9:35 AM, why don't you speculate how many people will use the, as you say "Big 3-million dollar monstrosity"!? Or precisely how many people will purchase tickets to the Old Coconut Grove Theater, or just how many people need toilet facilities at Kennedy Park or how many people need a free trolley, when in fact those exact needs are presently being met!? In other words have you conducted a survey as to how many people want to or would visit our newly constructed dock masters facility, or who have registered a complaint about an inability to urinate or defecate at Kennedy Park or some citizen who requires a free ride on some free trolley to or from anywhere in Coconut Grove? Please present a name, date, address for such a complaint? Thank you for your no comment(s). I.E, the Grove is just fine and we are all moving ahead. Jobie Steppe
