It's time for Dwntwn Art Days

Dwntwn Art Days starts today. It actually started at midnight with the Bleeding Palm Exhibit at 100 Chopin Plaza downtown. Art Days is a collaboration between the Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) and the cultural spaces and artists residing in Downtown Miami.  Art Days runs from today, September 11 through Sunday, September 13. This is the fourth year.

They have put together non-stop art and fun including exhibitions, artist projects, walking tours, art parties, family programming and so much more across a multitude of cultural venues throughout Downtown Miami. There is an emphasis on performance art this year and there are more panel discussions. Bayfront Park, the Adrienne Arsht Center, Biscayne Tavern, the Freedom Tower, McCormick Place, the Children's Museum and dozens more venues are all in play. History Miami Museum is free all weekend and most venues are, too.

The Miami Center for Architecture and Design (MCAD) is once again this year’s Art Days Hub at 100 NE 1st Avenue. It's open from 10 am to 6 pm Friday and Saturday and on Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.

All the info is here including info on their app: dwntwnartdays.com. The galleries and exhibits are listed, parking info, mass transit info and more.
