Circuit court denies Scotty's lawsuits
The Third Circuit Court of Appeal denied rehearing two lawsuits brought on by activist and District 2 Candidate Grace Solares and local activist and restaurant manager Stephen Kneapler which were to block the construction of Grove Harbour, the Scotty's Landing site along with The Chart House and Grove Harbour Marina. Grace and Stephen will appeal to the Florida Supreme Court.

At least Grace is willing to step up to the plate, when she sees an injustice in our community. That is the kind of leader we need in the District 2 office. So what have you done, other than post a few Comments in a blog?
When lawsuits don't work petitions are the other constitutional path. One question is whether Kneapler's motivation and worry is purely his own pocket.
At least someone is trying something to get this to stop! Like in basketball, you don't shoot, you don't score.
Kneapler's motivations are always under suspect. He certainly doesn't have "people" skills. It is a fact, however, that the city property that has Monty's on it has a restaurant facility on the second floor with a fantastic view that can't seem to make money, so it has been closed for years. It is the "tiki bar" downstairs with the local music that brings them in. The other "tiki bar" down the street is going to be torn down. Why? To put in 2 fancy restaurants that many of us either can't afford or simply don't want to get all that dressed up to have a beer on the waterfront. 5 years down the road we will have yet another empty building or two to look at and contemplate all we have lost. If Steve Kneapler can stop that, I'm all for it....as long as I don't have to hang out with him!
As far as Grace Solares, go baby go. If you win, you're a hero. If you lose, well, the naysayers will have their day. I will say one thing: I will vote for the person that the Sarnoffs hate the most, and I think thats YOU! Congratulations!
Grace Lawsulares and the Sarnoffs love Lawyers. They live in that filthy world.
