Clyde Butcher Gallery presents artist talk
The Clyde Butcher Gallery is presenting "The Secret Life of Plants Artist Talk" at The Bookstore on Friday, June 12 at 7:30 pm.
Artists will present media, speak about their personal artistic process, current pieces in the gallery and new works in progress. Stop by the Clyde Butcher Gallery Coconut Grove (2994 McFarlane Rd) beforehand to view the exhibit and sip on a Heineken Light generously donated by the Bass Museum, then head over to the talk.
Artists include Monica Uszerowicz, CoralMorphologic, Matt Stock, Karelle Levy and T.Wheeler of ArchivalFeedback
Coral Morphologic is a scientific art endeavor comprised of marine biologist Colin Foord and musician Jared McKay. From their website: "With the radially-symmetric corallimorph polyp as our muse, we explore the visionary potential of living coral reef organisms via film, multi-media, and site-specific artworks from within our coral aquaculture laboratory in Miami, Florida."
ArchivalFeedback is a "call-and-response vinyl and printmaking art project."
On Saturday, June 13, from 6-10 pm, the Bookstore will be recreating the Seven Kingdoms of hit HBO series & popular books by George R. R. Martin "Game of Thrones" by feasting on the foods of Westeros, The North, The South and The Wall while preparing for the inevitable. "Winter Is Coming."
The Bookstore is located at the Mayfair Atrium off of Florida Avenue at Mary Street.
