Art, film, wine and food presented by WIFF

A scene from "Nzinga: Queen of Angola."
The Women's International Film Festival (WIFF) and Kroma Art Gallery are holding a special event, Friday, June 26. It's a special evening of art, film, wine, hors d'oeuvres and the chance to enjoy internationally acclaimed and renowned storyteller Baba Adekemi Lyons along with African drumming, dance and more.

WIFF returns for its second Miami Film Month event and kicks off its summer membership drive with the presentation of the film "Nzinga: Queen of Angola" based on the true story of the famous African Queen from the 17th Century; this warrior woman fights for the independence of her people.

Also, this is your last chance to see Kroma's fabulous exhibition entitled, "From the Door of No Return to the Door of Return." Meet and greet the artists and hear from the Curator Dr. Edmund Abaka from the University of Miami

All are welcome. Great Educational experience for children and adults alike.

The event is from 6:30 to 10:30 pm.

Cost is $15 for members; $45 for non-members, which includes a one year membership to WIFF.

For info: womensfilmfest.com or call 305-653-9700.

Kroma is located at 3670 Grand Avenue.
