Tea room; it's like being in another world
Nicola Brown and her staff set up the tea room just for the festival, but I really feel that we need a tea room in Coconut Grove on a full time basis. When I posted this photo and another one on Facebook yesterday, people went crazy, wanting to know where the tea room was and many said they wanted to visit it on their next trip to Miami, only the tea room is temporary for just the three days of the festival.
They have so many cakes and cookies and lots of different types of tea, I stick with the English Breakfast Tea and the scones with clotted cream and strawberries. I don't think it's actual clotted cream, but it's thick, fresh and delicious, so close enough.
This is Gio, who is a student from FIU who performed in the tea room for the past two days. He's incredible and does all sorts of music from classical to pop. I loved when he took his computer or iPad or something electronic out and used the image on the device as his music sheet as he played.
It's really a nice, quiet place away from the craziness of the art festivals. Today is the final day of the festivals, so stop by if you can, it's really worth it. Two of my cousins from Broward saw my Facebook post and they're coming down today, just for the tea and scones!

There IS a tea service in the Grove. It's in Vizcaya and, surprisingly so, not that expensive! For $20 you get tea, scones, jam, and cream cheeses, etc. And who can beat the view of Biscayne Bay while sipping on sone exotic tea???
Do you have to pay to get in to Viscaya too in order to go to tea?
