MusiMini Interactive Concert for children
Musimelange was founded by French violinist Anne Chicheportiche who embraces
many cultural influences. An advocate for elegance and beauty, she believes that these are essential ingredients for classical music. She produces concerts that include unique culinary adventures, sophisticated wines and spirits and classical music.
“We want children to experience a unique afternoon of music in a welcoming and interactive environment while discovering savory treats,” according to Brigitte Kishlar, founder of the Miami Conservatory of Music. “Musicians interact with the audience, children discover instruments and develop their sense of taste.”
In the first act children will enjoy snacks, socialize with other kids and then seats for the second act, the interactive concert by Axiom. After the performance a third act that offers desserts and an instrument petting zoo complete the festivities. The cost is just $10 for children 4-10 (free for children under 4) and $15 for 11 and older if purchased in advance at musimelange.com . Admission includes drinks and snacks for the kids, an educational concert and desserts. At the door on the day of performance prices will be $5 higher.
“This is a perfect way for parents to get their children interested in music which can provide a lifetime of enjoyment and pleasure,” Kishlar notes. “And it’s a fun Saturday afternoon to spend with the whole family!”
The concert is on Saturday, January 24, at 3:30 pm at the Miami Conservatory of Music Recital Hall, 2911 Grand Avenue at Mayfair in the Grove. The Recital Hall is on the ground floor, near the Mayfair Fountain on the promenade between Grand and Florida avenues.
The Miami Conservatory of Music is a not-for-profit organization that provides quality training for young musicians and offers guidance to students with exceptional musical ability. MCM’s mission is to search for and develop hidden talents within our community while providing venues and events for musical expression. Our future depends on the investment we make in our children today. Educating and promoting creative expression in young people helps shape tomorrow’s musical minds.
