New pop-up gallery comes to Grove for the weekend
Opening on Friday, December 5, right here in Coconut Grove. "The Mutiny ... on the Bounty II, an adventure into the unknown" will be operating at 3008 Grand Avenue, the former Goose bar location.
Jairo Valenzuela, director of the gallery, in Bogotá, will be the curator here. The Valenzuela Klenner Galeria is considered to be the pioneer gallery in Colombia for Contemporary Art.
"We have participated in Art Basel Switzerland, and in Art Basel Miami Beach two times, being named by Artinfo, in the top Ten Best of the fair, in both instances," says Jairo.
The Grove pop-up gallery will open at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday, December 5 and 6.
Artist include Liliana Angulo, Karen Paulina Biswell, Carlos Bonil, Elkin Calderon, Jose Covo, Lina Gonzalez, Miguel Kuan, Juan Mejia, Lucas Ospina, Edinson Quinones, Jose Alejandro Restrepo, Edwin Sanchez and Liliana Velez.
