More partying on the piers

Seems like all the action this holiday season is on the piers behind City Hall. Last week was the Pier 2 party this one is Pier 1 on Saturday night at Bruce and Suzie's aboard and alongside the "Algun Dia" 60' sailboat.  (translation Someday). Dancing to holiday music on Pier 1 are Avignon and Josh, her brother visiting from Washington DC.

On Sunday at dusk, it was Pier 7's turn, where residents and friends lined the pier as the sun went down.

Gotta like sailors and boat people. They like to keep to themselves. They'll be the first to tell you that. I've been hanging out back on these peers for 10 years now. Most of the boat owners or dwellers there still won't even say hi. Try it.

Especially around peer 7, because you know, our society is so messed up these days, that most boat people don't even know each other, neighbors right there from those very peers, living on the boats right there.

Ask a guy from peer 7 about some other boat dweller captain person on peer 2 or 4: He'll scoff, first, (because you dared to disturb his "inner peace" or something), then, if you're lucky, he'll spit out "don't know him, I'm at (elite) peer 7" as he proudly walks away. Try it. I wouldn't dare show up at one of these tiny, exclusive little "parties" described here, unless I live on that exact same peer!
