GrassRoots Festival back for 4th year

The Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival is back for its 4th year. The annual winter event is an all inclusive multi-cultural and family friendly four-day Music, Arts and Dance Festival which takes place on Virginia Key.

This year's event features Donna the Buffalo, Rubblebucket, Marco Benevento, Jim Lauderdale, Swear and Shake, Afrobeta, AJ Ghent, Big Mean Sound Machine, Telekenetic Walrus, Danay Suarez, the Spam Allstars, Suenalo, Locos Por Juana, Elastic Bond, Lanzallamas, Electric Piquete and more.

The festival will kick off with a week of workshops and camping at the "GrassRoots Culture Camp" beginning on February 14. Yoga, instrument and cooking workshops will end with a daily family-style dinner and dance. The event will also feature the Zen Village Healing Arts attraction, a kid’s village, sustainability expo, band and instrument contests, the Beer Garden Vinyl Lounge, the Grassroots World Café, live art, craft vendors, yoga, beach camping and more.

The event runs from Thursday, February 19, 2015 through Sunday, February 22, 2015.
