The Moss Foundation, Inc. held its inaugural charitable golf event on November 17, at Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, benefiting Shake-A-Leg Miami, and HANDY, Inc., in Broward. The foundation was created by Moss & Assoc., a national construction management company based in South Florida. They support local schools and organizations that assist the homeless, troubled youth and the disabled.

HANDY’s mission is to embrace, educate, and empower vulnerable youth to become engaged, productive adults. To learn more about HANDY (Helping Abused Neglected Disadvantaged Youth), please visit handyinc.org.

The tournament, which attracted 132 golfers, raised $25,000 each for Shake-A-Leg and HANDY.

“This is the first of many great things the foundation will do to build better lives for people in the communities we serve,” said Chad Moss, director of the Moss Foundation. “We are humbled by the outpouring of support for this endeavor and look forward to making positive contributions wherever we can.”

The winning foursome, representing MCC Mechanical, included Brian Mirus, Andrew McAllister, Garrett Green, and John Boniface.
