See you on the track today!

Our girls Barbara Ferenczi and Daisy Holcombe flank Vanilla Ice. Earlier this week they were on the set of Ice's DIY show The Vanilla Ice Project. The Great Grove Bed Race will be featured in an upcoming episode. And today, during the races, his film crew will be getting it all down for the future episode. Come out and be part of the action.

Festivities kick off today, November 8, with the Family Pajama Party and Main Stage Band (11 am), the Pit Row Parade and Celebrity Judging (noon), Green Flag Racing (1 pm) and the post-race Bed Race Block Party at the Tavern in the Grove at (5 pm). For more info: TheGreatGroveBedRace.com.     

The festival is five dollars at the door, kids 12 and under are free.  Food, beer garden and vendors will pave the way to the race track. The way the race works is like any other 5k or triathlon for charity; the Bed Racers raised funds all fall with a 5-man race team sending emails and encouraging attendees to sponsor and donate to their team.

The race is on South Bayshore Drive, between Mary Street and McFarlane Road.
