An interesting way to pay the rent
I think that if they get a 100 customers a day and keep all the change, they could make $63 a day, which is $1890 a month. Interesting business practice they have. If they do it one more time I won't go back. They have bank right near them, they need to do what every other business owner does in the morning -- get rolls of coins!
How do they keep the books anyway with all that extra money floating around?

That's ridiculous!
If THEY don't have change, they sould give you $4. back
Better yet, who they are so I can go in and straighten them out properly and legally - - - - this could be fun.
I wonder if they are reporting the extra income to the IRS? .....hmmm
Had a place on Lincoln Road round out my change by 75-cents to their advantage once. The waiter gave me so much attitude when I asked for proper change that I removed his included tip from the bill also. And haven't been back there since.
Funny I was just at a small taco shop in brickell yesterday, change was supposed to be $.24, the guy gave me the entire dollar back. So I left it as a tip.
It may not even find it's way into the business... sometimes waiters/clerks do that. It's theft and it occurs at so many places that I now have a dollar or so in change to pay the "cents" portion of the bill.
