Strutting at Fantasy Fest

It's that time of year again, the Mangoheads took off for Key West Fantasy Fest again. They head down about 11 am and return about midnight, partying and having a good time the whole way there and sleeping the whole way back and doing all those wild Fantasy Fest things up and down Duval Street in between. Out and waiting for the bus bright and early were Ed and Atena de Jong, our two favorite mad scientists.

Louis Del Borrello, Grove Ambassador, stopped by to see the group off, that's head Mangohead, Antoinette Baldwin dressed for the fun time.

The King Mango Strut is Sunday, December 28 this year, there is still time to join in and march. The meetings are all set for the season. With so many new ad agencies and offices in the Grove these days, I'm sure there is a lot of fresh brain power out there. I would love to see SapientNitro and Sony and other new younger people in this year's parade!

The next meetings for the Strut are as follows:

Chili's in CocoWalk - Tuesday, October 28 at 7 pm
2 for 1 drinks and lots of Strut planning

Also at Chili's is the Nov. 5 meeting at 7 pm.

The Grove Spot is the spot on Tuesday, November 18, 3324 Virginia Street - happy hour prices

GreenStreet Cafe (3468 Main Highway) on Wednesday, December 3, happy hour prices and free snacks.

The Coconut Grove Sailing Club (2990 S. Bayshore Drive) on Tuesday, December 9 at 7 pm; chance for some goodies and silent auction, which is always fun. There are over 100 auction items to bid on. The drawing is at 8 pm.

The Sailing Club is the place for the next meeting on Wednesday, December 17. 

And then the actual King Mango Strut is Sunday, December 28 at 2 pm in the Center Grove.
