Full weekend of culture at Downtown Art Days

Downtown Art Days is coming to the downtown Miami from Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21.

Over 170 events will take part in this third annual event; it's a really packed weekend for art and culture lovers. Sort of a mini Art Basel.

There are not only exhibitions and art projects, but there are walking and bike tours, art parties and family events all in and around Downtown Miami.

Venues include the Adrienne Arsht Center, Bayfront Park, Brickell Metrorail Station, the Freedom Tower, Museum Park, the Perez Art Museum and lots of smaller galleries and venues.

Start at "the Hub" at A1A Miami Center for Architecture & Design at 100 NE 1st Avenue and make your way around.

We're lucky in the Grove that we have two Metrorail stations, so that's the easiest way to avoid parking nightmares downtown.

The Art Days Bicyling Events are a big part of the weekend and lots of riders are excited about the History on Wheels tours and the Cultural Trail, also BeachedMiami has a Bike Tour where you'll take a bike tour to downtown Miami's finest art spaces. Enjoy a private tour of the CIFO (Cisneros Fontanals private collection) and take in a "sensory scent experience" created by artist Nick Lobo. Harnessed dancers will be up and down the walls of Miami-Dade College. Meet at the CIFO's bamboo-lined courtyard (1018 N. Miami Avenue).
