Blue Starlite still presenting those summer favorites
I've heard from a few college students who are home for the summer who have enjoyed the retro feel of the whole thing. It's a great way to spend a summer night.
Movies are shown on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. The features are shown on a 30 by 20 ft. screen positioned against the wall between the drive-in and the playhouse.
The vintage trailer concession stands and classic car projection booth make compliment the drive-in movie classics and childhood favorites.
The drive-in made the list of Top 10 ways to enjoy sizzling summer nights in Miami in the Complex Pop Culture blog.
The Blue has teamed up with The Taurus: Food, Beer, and Whiskey House to provide full meals delivered car hop style directly to movie-goers on Blue Starlite’s vintage window food trays before the movie begins. A modern menu with a vintage food basket flare, the options include sliders, fried chicken fingers, hot dogs, French fries, and pickled chips. Once the movie is over, guests need not drive elsewhere in search of the perfect end to their Urban Drive-in night. Taurus, which is located next door will be serving up drink specials and lots of pop culture movie schmoozing as part of Apré Drive-in.
