Back to School Concert on the Bay
One thing Coconut Grove could use is more live music on the waterfront and on Wednesday, August 20, Shake-A-Leg Miami is doing just that. They have a Back to School Concert on the Bay planned with a reception preceding the music.
Four youth performers have taken the initiative and offered to perform a benefit concert for Shake-A-Leg; they're a multi-cultural cast which includes from Chicago Jeremy Jordan piano, from Amsterdam Steven Bissesar piano vocalist, from New York Meredith Ramsay violin and from Miami Sammi Collie vocalist. The repertoire will range from classical and modern music, to pop and jazz.
The concert is entirely supported by the Netherlands American Community Trust. The Trust has given thousands of young American student performers the chance to be heard by inviting them to perform in Carnegie Hall.
All donations you wish to make will benefit Shake-A-Leg's programs.
The concert is in the Coast Guard hangar overlooking Biscayne Bay. A reception starts at 5:30 pm and at 7 pm, until 8:30 pm is the performance.
