HAPPY 4th of July!
The day starts with the annual old-fashioned picnic at The Barnacle from 11 am to 4 pm.
At 5 pm, head on over to CocoWalk for their always hilarious Hot Dog Eating Contest.
The Peacock Park fun starts at 6 pm. And from then until 8 pm, kids can enjoy free ice cream, courtesy of the PointeGroup. Fellowship Church will provide free balloon animals and face painting and there are other free art activities sponsored by Art Box and Art Therapy Consultling and Services.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for the finale of the day -- the fireworks go off over the bay at 9 pm.
