Check out the IKEA sand sculptures this weekend

IKEA has been building sand sculptures at CocoWalk. They started Friday and by Sunday, all three should be done. Instead of the usual castles and dolphins, the artists are creating sand furniture, to celebrate the opening of IKEA's Dade County location out by the Dolphin Mall.

They will be giving out special giveaways while supplies last and don’t forget to ask about their sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500.00 IKEA gift card. Are you an IKEA Family member? If so, pick up your special gift. For those who are not IKEA FAMILY members no worries, sign-up at their tent and pick up your free gift while supplies last.


After taking selfies with the masterpiece sand sculptures and signing up for your IKEA goodies, walk down the street to Peacock Park between the hours of 11:00 am until 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 13; IKEA is treating patrons to a “cafecito” break as part of their grand opening of their new Miami store. Their “cafecito truck” will have free coffee and you will also be able to catch a sneak peak of the IKEA showroom experience.
