Using the slip for what it was meant for
Show your support for the park and for the boat slip which is perfect for accommodating large boats like the Eagle. The ship will be in town for four days, leaving on Tuesday, June 17. The Eagle will be open for free public tours on Saturday, June 14 from 1 pm to 5 pm, on Sunday, June 15 from 1 pm to 7:30 pm, and on Monday, June 16 from 1 pm to 7:30 pm.
Bring a picnic, frisbee and your friends and family and enjoy the park and the USS Eagle.
Also, the Nature Links food truck will be at the north side of the American Airlines Arena near Biscayne Boulevard, next to the slip.
The truck is a training ground for students (young adults with intellectual disabilities) and a place for the public to buy food and learn about their programs. The truck will be run by renowned chef and Nature Links board member John Richards. The students will have a training lesson from 10 to 11 am and then will enjoy the day working the truck and engaging in fun activities in the park. The truck will be there until 3 pm.

What time is the opening of the park?
Thank you for promoting this...BUT
Just a minor But... It's the
CGC Eagle, Coast Guard Cutter Eagle
USS is designates Navy ships
As Eagle arrives on Flag Day!! Lets show support to the cadets on board, they may save us when in trouble on the water.
Also let the City put the slip to good use and invite US Navy and foreign Navy and other Training ships to our port.

How about a ship loaded with unique foreign & domestic exotic cargo, a floating strip mall, restaurant, bar, grill, naked dancers, fire eaters, snakes, large lizards, U know, interesting stuff/entertainment, contest, poker, wet T-shirt like stuff, etc., etc., etc.. The park would be full 24/7! More so than for a soccer game.
