"Raise the Bar" event will benefit Women's Fund

Local Realtor Michael Light and his Miami Luxury Homes team of professionals are holding the 10th Annual Networking Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction to benefit the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade, “RAISE THE BAR.” The event will take place on Wednesday, June 4, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at the Miami Center for Architecture & Design located at 100 NE 1st Avenue in Miami.

The Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade improves the lives of women and girls in our community by empowering them through support and funding for innovative initiatives that create equality, promote the development of social change and build community partnerships. The Women’s Fund is optimistic, creative and collaborative, and seeks to educate organizations to improve the status and conditions of women’s lives.

Raise the Bar is a networking and cocktail reception featuring an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a raffle and silent auction. This event will be the host of over 400 South Florida professionals from the legal, accounting and business communities. Raise the Bar has raised more than $190,000 in grants to community organizations that provide legal assistance, shelter, counseling and education to victims of domestic violence and human trafficking—right here in Miami-Dade County. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be allocated to grant-making to eliminate domestic violence and sex trafficking, including supporting the Honorable Judge Amy Karan Legacy Fund.

Raise the Bar is a very rewarding event for a remarkable cause. So, please come out and help support the women and girls in our community who need your help. Tickets are only $40 per person in advance, $50 at the door.

If you are interested in sponsoring the event, contact Ana Martinez at 305-441-0506 or via email at ana@womensfundmiami.org.  To buy tickets for this event, please visit the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade County here.
