Join this year's Hot Dog Eating Contest!

CocoWalk is looking for hot dog eaters for their 6th annual Hot Dog Eating Contest which takes place July 4th. As usual, July 4th in Coconut Grove is going to be a fun, all-day event.

CocoWalk is having family fun day starting at 1 pm, with entertainment, a bounce house, face painting, free cotton candy and snow cones and lots more, but the main feature, the Hot Dog Eating Contest starts at 5 pm.

The event, sponsored by Paragon Grove 13 and Duffy’s Sports Grill is always fun, the crowds all crowd around the tables set up in the back of the couryard and everyone chooses their favorite eater to win the contest.

CocoWalk is looking for five competitors willing to eat as many hot dogs as they can in 10 minutes, but only one can take home the desired title Hot Dog Eating Champion – and collect the grand prize package.

An assortment of awesome prizes for all of the game winners and runners-up are provided by the CocoWalk merchants and local businesses.

Email CocoWalk the forms: marketing@cocowalk.net, an application will be sent to you to sign and return. Five names will be drawn on Friday, June 29 and contacted immediately. Those five will have until Monday, June 30 to respond and secure their coveted place on stage. If not, more names will be drawn.

The day at CocoWalk starts at 1 pm and goes until 9 pm, this is when everyone moves to Peacock Park for the annual fireworks show. The day starts at 11 am at The Barnacle (3485 Main Highway), for the Old Fashioned Picnic.  It's an old-Fashioned style Fourth on the great lawn out back including kids crafts. There is live music, lawn games and more. Bring your own food or purchase hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, etc. The picnic ends at 4 pm.
