Gala for Two Pianos concert

Kirk Whipple and Marilyn Morales (left) have performed at the Kennedy Center and around the country --- are the producers and performers of the 14th Annual Gala for Two Pianos. This year’s concert series will feature the Whipple ~ Morales Duo performing with world-class local artists Wayne Bumpers and Virginia Covarrubias.

The concert will include works and arrangements for two pianos by Whipple & Morales, Manuel Ponce, Arturo Marquez and Nikolai Kapustin. The four pianists will join forces at the end of the concert in a thrilling finale for 2 pianos / 8 hands. It's being held for the second year at the Miami Conservatory of Music at the Mayfair Promenade off Florida Avenue.

Also on the program will be Outstanding Young Artist Stefan Kirkcaldy. The door opens 30 minutes before the concert.

Wine, sodas and snacks will be available before the concert, at intermission and after the concert. Donations will be accepted for refreshments.

Admission $15 adults, $10 for students and seniors, children 5-17 free with paid adult (limit 2 free per adult)

The show on Saturday May 3, is at 7 pm on Sunday, May 4, at 4 pm
