Free Coconut Grove Bike tour on Saturday
Sorry for this last minute post, just got the news:
Enjoy a free bike tour through the historic sites and shady lanes of Coconut Grove on Saturday, May 10, starting at 9:30 am and ending at noon. This month's tour highlights the many women who have given our beloved Coconut Grove its distinctive character. Pass through the center neighborhood, where you'll still find a few mini-cottages and other small-scale homes, wrapped in vegetation, in an area that has seen much recent development.
Then spin through the beautiful South Grove, stopping at the gorgeous Plymouth Congregational Church and the charming Old Wooden School House. Throughout the morning, learn about the fascinating lives and dedication of such Grovites as Flora McFarlane, Elizabeth Virrick and Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Sponsored by the Coconut Grove BID
Meet at 9:30 in front of City Hall (3500 Pan American Drive).
