Celebrate Spring with Radeberger Braised Mussels

TK’s at the Villa Mayfair (2901 Florida Avenue) has something new for Spring -- Radeberger Braised Mussels.

The team at TK’s is adamant about using the freshest ingredients, resulting in unique and delicious dishes. So, when it was decided that mussels would be a great spring dish to add to the menu, chefs Maribel Gaynor and George Valcourt worked together to refine the dish to a perfectly balanced combination of flavors. The winning combination: confit of shallots, stewed tomatoes, garlic, and the Radeberger. The crisp, fresh taste of the pilsner not only serves as an exceptional braising liquid, but also makes for an ideal pairing, intensifying the flavors of the dish. At $16, the mussels served with a crusty cheese baguette, becomes a light yet satisfying meal. On the menu through July, get to TK’s and get some while the getting’s good.
