Save the Coconut Grove Playhouse t-shirt, hats
The Save the Coconut Grove Playhouse Facebook group is selling t-shirts to promote the cause of stopping the commercial developers from turning the location into an actual t-shirt shop and mall. You can buy a shirt or hat and wear it to the meeting. Or just purchase the items to support the cause.
The group feels that major development will take over the playhouse grounds and they feel that the building will be knocked down to make way for a retail/condo development. The goal of the Save the Coconut Grove Playhouse group is to preserve what is there now, to repair and restore it using architect Richard Heisenbottle's design (shown here).
The t-shirt is $18, the money raised will go to fund the fight. Also available, one-size-fits-all "Save the Coconut Grove Playhouse" caps (with Broadway font, of course), for $15.
