Shell Lumber hosted the 5th annual Howl in the Wood on Saturday night, dubbed the "American Roots Music Concert," but it's so much more. As is the case every year, local artists show their art all along the lumber yard and there's food and lots to drink.
Solar Dogs from left, Zip Robertson, Bill Kunz and Eric Wagner, in back is Bob "BeBop" Grabowski on bass. This event was against FAM Night, Fashion, Art and Music which was in Center Grove, so people were going back and forth so they could enjoy both events. It was a great night for Coconut Grove.
The opening act was Avocado Estate from the UM School of Music.
The cash bar was a popular spot, right next to Frankie's Pizza stand and on the other side was Latin Burger.
Theresa Calluori shows her art along with Louis Del Borrello.
At left, artist Uta with Cortland Joyce, who sold his Pop Nature ice pops; at right, Eric Wanger on stage.

SHELL LUMBER - The Heartbeat of Coconut Grove. Free coffer, candy, snow cones, pop corn & great service. Don't buy a new toilet seat for $50.00, get the broken part @ shell & fix it; whatever, fix it. It's hard not to find a part to fix something. And now Shell has numerous forms of art. I've been shopping there for over 35 years & enjoy the entire environment, especially their developing garden area. Jobie
