Elsie Augustave to appear at Literary Jazz Brunch

Novelist, Elsie Augustave, whose debut novel, "The Roving Tree," praised by award-winning authors Edwidge Danticat and Lorna Goodison, will appear at Coconut Grove’s Literary Jazz Brunch at the Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove on May 17, 2014.

Gender issues expert Lorna Owens is the organizer of the event to benefit womens causes in Jamaica, Somalia and the Republic of Congo through The Footprints Foundation.

Augustave is one of the featured authors.

The event will also feature a live performance by the Les Haber Quintet and a gastronomic feast.

The event is from 11 am to 3 pm, tickets are $130 each and are on sale now here.

The Ritz Carlton is located at 3300 SW 27 Avenue.
