Coconut Grove Bike Tour planned for Saturday

The next Coconut Grove Bike Tour is Saturday, March 8 from 9:30 am to noon. The them is The Bahamian Community and the Verdant Splendor of the South Grove.

Enjoy a free bike tour through the historic sites in the Bahamian Village and the shady lanes of South Coconut Grove, sponsored by Coconut Grove Business Improvement District (BID).  
Wind your way with Frank through the verdant lanes of Coconut Grove. Visit Peacock Park, likely the most significant historic site in the entire region. Riding along, participants will see the oldest home still standing in the Miami area, The Barnacle State Historic Site. Next view shotgun houses, colorful Bahamian-style cottages, and learn the dynamic story of the Bahamian Grovites in the old Kebo neighborhood. Pass the time admiring the botanical wonders and charming homes in the South Grove.

Admission is free. Meet in front of City Hall (3500 Pan American Drive).
