Enjoy fellow environmentalist at TREEmendous Miami

The Board of Directors of TREEmendous Miami invite you to their annual meeting on Sunday, January 26, from 2 to 4 pm at the Garden Center of Simpson Park located at 5 SW 17 Road. It’s entered from the historic portion of South Miami Avenue, which is south of Coral Way (SW 13 St. in this area) and a block west of Brickell Avenue. It's easy to find, just take South Bayshore straight through from the Grove and it's a couple of minutes away.

They've added three notable Advisory Board Members; Harvey Ruvin, Katy Sorenson and Dr. Jack Parker. Additionally, famous photographers Clyde and Niki Butcher have given TREEmendous Miami permission to use some of their content on our website.

There will be refreshments; a short meeting to proudly report on what TREEmendous Miami accomplished during 2013 and to elect Directors for the coming year; and a brief  tour of the Simpson Park Hammock led by Buck Reilly. Buck is a member of our Board  and the President of the Dade Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society.

TREEmendous Miami has planted more than 24,000 trees in the past 15 years.

This event is free and open to the public. If you would like to join the group, you may do so at their website here: treemendousmiami.org

The costs vary starting at $10 a year for students and $30 per year for adults.
