Alex Mijares' "La Brisa" is the poster for Arts Festival

President of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, Monty Trainer, introduces this year's poster by Wynwood artist Alex Mijares, at right, Mayor Tomas Regalado and David Martin, President and COO of the Terra Group, unveil the poster at a party Thursday night at the Sonesta Bayfront Hotel. Alex only started painting three years ago. He needed something for his apartment, so he just pulled out the paints and canvas and did a piece of art himself, the rest is history. The piece is called "La Brisa."

Alex is the youngest artist to ever be chosen for the poster honor. The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is February 15, 16 and 17 this year.

 The Sonesta did an excellent job of creating a nice cozy setting for the party. It felt like a South Beach club.

The outside patio area is always so great at the Sonesta and the weather was perfect for a night out.

Lots of old friends were there which always makes the poster unveiling party a fun party.
