Home invasion suspect arrested

"Last night our Problem Solving Team was able to locate Jerod Danny Mays, D.O.B. 6/2/94. He has been arrested and charged with one count of armed home invasion robbery, one count of armed false imprisonment, and one count of armed robbery in relation to the November 13th incident in the 3800 Block of Oak Avenue," says Police Commander Manuel Morales.

You'll remember last month that a couple of teachers were accosted at gunpoint right outside their house. Mays allegedly sexually assaulted the woman, pistol whipped the man and then made off with electronic items like ipads and cell phones.

First commentor - do you know something about that prior incident? If not, then I guess you just showed up to brag that you know how to use google. Nice work.

Our justice system is not perfect, but this isn't Riyadh - chopping his hand off on an allegation doesn't provide a safe society either. The battery elderly sounds likely domestic, and if the state doesn't have a cooperating witness, which would lead to "no action", little can be done.

This matter on the other hand sounds very promising for the prosecutor.

No, Dexter, he's commenting on the the fact that we have a Constitution in this country that requires the burden to be on the government to prove someone committed a crime.
It might not be a perfect system, but if you were wrongly accused, you'd be thrilled we have it.
