Perrier-Jouët's collaboration with Simon Heijdens
As part of its core belief of celebrating beauty, Perrier-Jouët invited Simon Heijdens to make their design Salon project inspired by the renowned champagne brand’s signature Art Nouveau heritage.
Known for creating immersive, site-specific pieces, Simon's works often use new media to add a particular notion to a space, creating an unforgettable experience. With a fine-tuned practice and clear voice, Simon Heijdens’ works are transformative yet subtle, concerned with temporality and the human experience.
Simon works from his studio in London, where he has also lectured at the prestigious Royal College of Art. His pieces can be seen across the world in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Israel Museum Jerusalem, as well as with numerous global touring exhibits of his key works.
“We are thrilled to be working with Simon Heijdens this year. Simon introduces a new medium of expression, which we believe makes an important and forward-thinking contribution to the design world. The installation space becomes a screen upon which Simon tells his story. Light and liquid create the narrative; it has to be experienced.” Says Axelle de Buffevent, Style Director for Martell Mumm-Perrier-Jouët.
