Cooking at Vizcaya
One hundred years ago, Miami was not the vibrant epicenter of diverse culture and cuisine that it is today, but food was still an important part of life and society. With the help of Chef d'Alessandro, Vizcaya and FIU's Center for the Humanities in an Urban Environment are partnering at Vizcaya's village--once farmland--to explore how food has changed over the last century.
The event is from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Admission is free.
The cooking session is at the Village Garage (west side of South Miami Avenue)
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a National Historic Landmark and European-inspired estate on Biscayne Bay, is located at 3251 South Miami Avenue. For more information, go to www.vizcaya.org or call 305-250-9133.
