Online Children's Art Auction
This is something cool. It's an online auction featuring artwork from patients at Holtz Children's Hospital.
The online auction, the first held by Jackson Memorial Foundation, will run from September 4 through 14, featuring more than 50 artworks with opening bids as low as $15 with $5 increments. Proceeds benefit the renovation of the patient and family pantry at Holtz where patients and their families have a quiet space to enjoy meals together.
The work is created by young artists in the hospital who have been aided by local artists who visit patients as part of ArtCares for Kids, a nonprofit organization that provides art therapy for patients at Holtz. In addition to ArtCares, students at the Design Architecture Senior High (DASH) helped with the auction.
