Meeting at Blanche Park tonight
Meeting: Monday Sept. 9, 6:00 pm
At entrance to children's park.
I want to speak to all parents and dog owners at this meeting concerning both parks.
This is important, and I am asking you to have as many people there as you know who have an interest in Blanche Park.
Please forward this email to anyone you think would have an interest.
Commissioner Marc Sarnoff, Chair
Miami City Commission, District 2

Why is the commissioner organizing a meeting in such a way? This is not only procedurally improper, but certainly raises ethical flags as well.
Marc probably sent this to his dog owning buddies so they can say garner support for taking all public spaces currently used for kids (certainly far less than that reserved only for dogs).
Grove parents: Why do you put up with this guy?
Everyone be sure to being your video devices. This could be YouTube gold.
Probably wants to expand the dog park over to the kid's side and, once this happens, wants parents to leash their children so they don't interfere with dogs.
So much negativity! He invited Grove dog owners as well as parents of children who use the park. And the email was sent out (at least that's how I got it) from Sue McConnell with the Village of Center Grove Neighborhood Association.
It could be numerous things: New development, tree trimming, cops patroling, vandalism in the area and/or parks, Old Smokey soil testing, etc. I personally say if you don't like dogs you shouldn't live in the Grove.

Would love to be there, but for those who work 6pm is tough
"if you don't like dogs you shouldn't live in the Grove."
Commissioner Sarnoff, please start signing your posts.
Also, that was one of the 5 dumbest comments in the history of grapevine.
dogs and kids get along, so what's the problem. we have two kids and a dog and are thankful for both - I wouldn't call it a park - playground areas; however we would prefer REAL GREEN and not "BARBIE" GRASS for the kids.our dog doesn't really like the "strange" green thing on his side either but happy enough to meet with his species.unfortunately, couldn't make it today so looking forward for updates.
