Magic City items, clothing, cars up for auction

Cast photo
Seems like all our Hollywood tv dramas are gone and their remnants are being auctioned off. First it was Burn Notice in August, right here in the Grove and now it's the remains of Magic City, the Starz network Friday night show, which are up for auction.

The show took place in Miami in 1959, so many old or antique items will be available, which were used to set the mid-century era. As bidders enter, some of the sets will greet them like the pool and lobby entrance of the Mirimar Playa Hotel, which was the fictitious hotel in the program..

The auction will begin online, starting Wednesday, October 2 and then run Thursday and Friday and on Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6, the auction will go live. Whatever is left over after that will go online for a final online auction on Monday and Tuesday, October 7 and 8.

The items online will be auctioned off here at the Jay Sugarman site: http://www.jaysugarman.com, the same auctioneers who held the Burn Notice auction.

The best items seem to be the classic 1950s cars used in the show.

The live auction is being held right at the warehouse where the show was filmed, 3663 NW 21 Street. Doors open at 11 am both days, Saturday and Sunday.
