Have you considered running for Village Council?

The Coconut Grove Village Council is up for election. Eight seats, elected Grove-wide to a four year term are scheduled to take place in the November 5 election.

The form is here. They need the following with the form:

The form must be notorized
Include a $100 check made out to The Coconut Grove Village Counci, Inc.
Include photocopy of your Driver's License or other state-issued photo ID
Include photo of your voter registration ID card

Or hand deliver your completed qualification form to the City of Miami Coconut Grove NET office on Mary Street, addressing the packet to Jessica Lewis in care of the NET Office, and clearly identifying the packet as a Coconut Grove Village Council Candidate Qualification Form.

Candidate Qualification Forms must be received by no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 so that they may provide the names of all candidates to the City of Miami Elections Department by September 18, 2013.

To qualify as a candidate for the Coconut Grove Village Council an individual must:
(1) Be a registered voter;
(2) Currently reside and have resided in Coconut Grove for at least the twelve (12) months prior to qualifying;
(3) Not have previously served on the Council for either two (2) terms or a total of eight (8) years.
