Fresh Market presents Annual Sidewalk Sale

The Fresh Market will hold its 19th annual “Hope Floats” Sidewalk Sale September 6 through September 8, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm daily to benefit JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The Fresh Market will offer hot dogs, root beer floats and ice cream sundaes (regular and sugar-free), each for a
$2 donation.

The Fresh Market will donate 100 percent of the money raised over the three-day sale
directly to JDRF to support its research efforts to create a world without T1D.

In addition to the Sidewalk Sale, The Fresh Market is hosting a JDRF Sneaker Sale campaign now through September 8. Customers can make a donation by purchasing green paper sneakers at The Fresh Market’s checkout counters to show support for this worthy cause. JDRF Collection Containers are also placed at each checkout counter, as every penny counts.

The annual Sidewalk Sale and Sneaker Sale are just two of the many ways The Fresh Market
continues to support JDRF. The Fresh Market was the first Presenting Sponsor for the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes held in the corporate headquarters city of Greensboro, N.C. The company has consistently been a sponsor of the Piedmont Triad Chapter’s annual gala and also hosts Wine Gala Fundraising events.

“The Fresh Market remains dedicated to our partnership with JDRF to raise awareness and critically needed funds for research related to type 1 diabetes through our annual Sidewalk Sale,” said Craig Carlock, The Fresh Market’s president and CEO. “This event is a yearly highlight for our company. It is exciting to see the enthusiasm and compassion with which our employees embrace this event to support their local JDRF Chapters.”
