Popular Firefighter passes
Last Thursday, "Freddy" Figueredo, 61, passed after a long bout with cancer. He was surrounded by family, friends, firefighters and his beloved "movie people." Freddy leaves behind a wife and teenage son. Fire
Freedie was the medic on tv sets. He was known by all the South Florida crews.
He had worked on just about every film and television show in town over the past decade and this loss is unbearable for the entire community.
His Funeteral is this Tuesday, August, 20, at St. Thomas the Apostile Church (3777 SW 64 Street) from 10 to noon. The burial will be at Miami Merrick Park (6200 SW 77 Avenue).
A “Celebration of a Beautiful Life” will immediately follow the burial. This will commence with an hour reserved for family and friends to share their favorite “Freddy Stories” at:

8000 N.W. 21st Street
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in the name of Firefighter Fernando “Freddy” Figueredo to the Metro-Dade Firefighters Charities Foundation; Financial Assistance for Firefighters and Dispatchers Fighting Cancer. All checks are to be made payable to: Metro-Dade Firefighter Charities.
Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to the Figueredo family in their time of sorrow.
