CityWrights Conference starts this week
It's a place to be inspired by new ideas, discover exciting opportuniities, experience intimate creative workshops, enjoy readings of fresh new work and be a part of discussions led by, for and about fabulous playwrights and experts from various areas of the theater industry, including publishing, producing and performing.
Fetaured industry presenters include professional playwrights, faculty members from some of America's top playwriting programs and representitives from the Dramatists Guild, Washington Square Arts & Films, Susan Schulman Literary Agency, Inc., the National New Play Network, Samuel French Publishing, Young Playwrights, Inc, and many of the playwrits include in City Theatre's 2013 Summer Shorts: America's Short Play Festival.
South Florida's own talenteted performers, producers and directors are also part of this group.
Come to learn, come to play, this year's Dramatists Guild Fund Traveling Master is award-winning playwright Tina Howe. She along with 2013 City Theatre playwrights Lauren Gunderson and Steve Yockey, will lead Writer's Blocks, 3 hour seminars on playwriting for writers of all levels of experience.
