Lovely Maggie James

I hate to have to bring you the news about our friend Maggie James (a long-time Coconut Grove resident). Maggie passed away last Friday, she had been battling cancer for sometime. The last time I saw Maggie was in March at the Gifford Lane Art Stroll and she looked super, I assumed she was very well.

Tonight, Friday, May 10, she is being honored at Berries, from 5:30 to 7 pm. There will be a mix of co-workers, family and friends to carry out her wishes – no funeral, just a party.

I never saw Maggie without a smile on her face, so I am smiling up at her right now.

Berries is at 2884 SW 27 Avenue.

Maggie was terrific. Wish I had known about the party - I would have been there.
