Amanda Pike, PhD, ATR is a registered, clinical art therapist employed by the Miami-Dade school district. With summers free, she is now offering artistic services in the form of acrylic on canvas pet/family portraits. For more information on costs and additional examples of her work click here.
Amanda is also teaming up with Dynamo Art Cocowalk and offering Art Therapy memory training workshops- the focus of her doctoral specialization. Memory training sessions are on May 26, at 5pm.
All art materials are included and each session results in a take-home work of art. Each session is 90 minutes, and she is currently running a deal for any Art Therapy session: 54% off. $69 for a session (regular price $150).
Other formats for art therapy include individual, family, or group. Rather than traveling to attend sessions, Art Therapy can also be brought into the home.
Anyone can benefit from Art Therapy and previous experience working with art materials in not necessary. Each session incorporates a combination of art education with psychotherapy. The following goals may be met through Art Therapy sessions:
