Same old, same old? Not really

I was at the This 'n That shop and the ladies were talking about lunch. They were complaining that there wasn't much of a variety in the Grove because nobody ever changes their menu or has different specials. But if you look around, you'll find different specials. They do different things at The Grove Spot and Focaccia to name a couple of places, but it is true, that most of the menus never change.

I do notice one thing around the Grove in that many people don't leave their little area or block, so perhaps if the ladies walked off of Commodore Plaza, they might find something different. So many times people ask me simple things like, "Where's the Bookstore or where is the post office?" and they literally work a block away.

I remember the time one of my friends who worked at Bombay Darbar at one end of Commodore Plaza couldn't find me at the other end, at Green Street because when I told him to meet me at Green Street, he was looking for an actual street named Green Street. He didn't know that the restaurant named Green Street was actually on the same block as Bombay Darbar. 
Speaking of that end of the block, the Design Bar moved to the former wine spot next to Bombay Darbar. The Design Bar was formerly on Fuller Street, across from Barracuda.
