Our friend Ronnie hurt while riding his bicycle

I was wondering where Ronnie Brooks was over the weekend, I usually see him at the gym Saturday and Sunday. It turns out, he is at Jackson Trauma. He is the guy who was badly hurt last week. A car slammed into Ronnie at Virginia and Oak. Ronnie was not wearing a bike helmet.

Many of you know him as one of our local musicians, he's a longtime Grovite. He had a couple of gigs at CocoWalk coming up in the next month or so. I took this photo last month of Ronnie at the Gifford Lane Art Stroll.

He went right into the windshield and while thought to be a goner, he is doing ok, or as well as can be. He has bad facial and head injuries with many staples and stitches. He has a concussion and broken vertebrae. It could have been worse.
