New Executive Board at Village Council

The members of the Coconut Grove Village Council held a special election on April 18, 2013, at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club where a new executive board was selected.

This Board will be chaired by Jessica Lewis (left), Student Learning Community Coordinator at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, who was involved in the creation of the Village Council's official Web site and chair of communications.

Jessica has lived in Coconut Grove Since 2009, and has been an elected member of the council since October 2011.

Regularly scheduled elections will be held in November 2013, in which the Village Council will be electing new members as well as a new executive board.

The other members of the Board are:

· Kate M. Callahan, Vice Chair

· Michelle Barton King, Secretary

· David Himmel, Treasurer

· Patrick Sessions, Sergeant at Arms
